Survivors include his wife, Diana; children, Aron Combs, Shannon White (Terry), Darrin Davis, Melissa Stephens, Mark Valadez, Melanie Campbell (Kendrick); siblings, Danny Hudlin (Lazetta), Joyce Kester (George), Chuck Edwards (Peggy), Jack Garrity, Susan Herman (Wendell) Kathy Coy; 17 grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Combs; mother and stepfather, Geraldine and John "Jack" Garrity; brother, Lloyd Combs. Viewing 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, with family present 6-8 p.m. Service 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, Westside Freewill Baptist Church, 3310 MacArthur, Wichita.
