Kimberly Clyde Dewey 56, of Springdale AR. passed on from his mortal bonds to the freedom of Life Eternal, at 10:46PM on Friday August 12, 2011 in Fayetteville, AR. 

Kim was born on December, 14 1954 to Zane Gene and Susan Elizabeth Hoppe Dewey. 

Kim earned a bachelors degree in Political Science and a masters in Public Administration both from Wichita State University. Throughout most of his life he was very involved in politics and in the early years following his education, he ran for Kansas State representative in 1976 and worked for Sedgwick County in Wichita as Intergovernmental Coordinator, Economic Development Director, and the County Manager in the late 80’s. In the 1990’s he worked for Ranson Capital Corporation underwriting Kansas municipal bonds and later bridged out into the corporate field working for companies like Walmart, Sam’s Club, Proctor & Gamble, and Vilore Foods in the fields of sales and transportation and logistics. 


Kim was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and canoeing and loved to recite the lines of comic films like Airplane, and Young Frankenstein. He was highly respected and well loved member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eureka Springs where he was and elder and served as head usher and treasurer for many years. 

Kim is survived by his daughter Cary Dewey of Fayetteville AR. two brothers David Dewey and Eva of Wichita, KS. Mark and Gaylynn Dewey of Laguna Niguel,CA. Mother Susan Dewey of Springdale,AR. Kim is also survived by wife and mother of his daughter Cary, Connie Dewey, two nieces Shannon Dewy and Meredith Harrison and by his beloved Karen Terrier Charlie Chezwick. He was preceded in death by his father. 

Memorial services will be held in the Nelson Berna Chapel on Tuesday August 16, 2011 at Ten a.m.
