Brenda Antoinette Reed Warren

November 18, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana - February 13, 2026 in Edmond, Oklahoma 

Brenda Antoinette Warren (Reed), 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in South Bend, Indiana, on November 18, 1953, she spent most of her life in Wichita, Kansas, and her final nine years in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Brenda attended Allison Junior High School and Wichita West High School. She married Michael Foster in 1970, and together they welcomed one daughter, Tonee. They later divorced. In 1982, she married Donald L. Warren.  They were married for 31 years before his death in 2014.

Brenda was a strong and independent woman, working as an expeditor and later manufacturing planner for Cessna, Piper, and Boeing aircraft companies during a time when few women entered the aviation industry. After suffering a stroke that left her unable to work, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, continuing to participate in a bowling league and playing shuffleboard at the VFW.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Warren; her mother, Gloria Burditt; her brother, Kerry Christian; and her sister, Suzette Skinner.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonee Zimmerman (Frank); her grandchildren, Benjamin Zimmerman (Andrea), Aimee Zimmerman, and Zachary Zimmerman; and two great-grandchildren, Otto and Clay.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
