Nothing but good memories of Kurt. One of my first basketball teammates when I moved to Wichita. A memory that makes me laugh, was when Kurt and I were blowing up firecrackers underneath the Cowskin Creek Bridge next to Rolling Hills Country Club. Kurt had a big string of black cats stuffed his old army jacket, and he set them off while he was wearing it and blew the pocket off. Fastest I ever saw Kurt move.

I was in Mrs. Carver's Zoology class with Kurt, Paul Cheney and Stan Diskin and we had a lab pin test on a frog. I beat all 3 of them out by 1 point with the highest grade in class and they were gracious second-placers, even though it hurt their pride a bit! I thought Kurt was a hunk!
